vacations how many people get them?
you know their is a myth that says people spend more time planning a vacation than purchasing life insurance, preparing for disaster and grocery shopping. i got to thinking about how many people even get to go on a vacation. we work our whole lives and forget to take a time out with the bread winner, i encourage you to go and do something that youve never done before.
let me know how many hours it took you to plan and where did you go

I loved it and thank God everyday for letting me get a glimpse of His wonders, miracles, mysteries and magic on this planet. Now I am so very content to stay at home. But my son needs to see some of the world so we took him to Big Bend National Park and stayed for a long time this summer. It really didn't take us much time at all to plan. Things just fell into place for us and usually do for vacations....that's when you know you've made a good decision....things tend to fall into place. As for disaster planning? I don't do as well. I usually keep a full tank during H season and go to my mother's house. I'll have to change that now won't I?0 pointsthelight wrote 1000 Days Ago (neutral) 0I take vacations quite often. My last vacation was in June. I have a sister that lives in Corpus so this vacation cost me very little. However, I did spend quite a bit on food checking out the up-scale restaurants. I find sitting in Donna Rae's back yard or enjoying the company of my friend by his pool is vacation. Anything to remove me from my home and the chores that seem to greet me constantly.0 pointsSandraD wrote 1000 Days Ago (neutral) 0It has been about four years since I really can say that I actually took a vacation, there was not much involved in planning, I spent a week with my nephew in his new home in San Antonio. His mom and I had a good time we spent most of our time just relaxing and enjoying each others company. We did do some shopping for his new home.0 pointsAnimated_Giggles wrote 1000 Days Ago (neutral) 0An actual vacation? It's been several years and it was to St. Croix to visit my parents while my dad was working on island. Now, I do have yearly mini-breaks and they are based on where my daughter will be for the summer. I usually know sometime in February or early March where and when. It's usually only for a weekend but sometimes it might be as much as four days. I don't see another actual extended vacation in my future for at least two years.0 pointsLiza wrote 1000 Days Ago (neutral) 0I have not been on a vacation in about 2 years. My last vacation was Atlanta, GA. Actually, I was there for a graduation which turned into a vacation.0 points
