Maybe...just maybe, sometimes the kids already know the answers but are expecting someone to tell them something different than what they already know.... So by asking questions, the adults may just be trying to see what the kid already knows or what point of reference they need to come from (example: if a 4-yr. old child asks where babies come from, they probably don't want or need to know ALL the details...in this instance point of reference would be very important!) MAYBE?
