The Paths of the Lord
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your hear, and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
Galatians 5:25 - If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

What an awesome and mighty God we serve....it's amazing how God sometimes takes little simple everyday things to teach us lessons about our walk with Him.
I was going to Pasadena one day and an interesting thing happened....although I usually go through the Washburn Tunnel and go to the left to go to a certain area of Pasadena, I had planned this time to go to the right to get to another section of Pasadena. However, I was just driving and not really thinking about the change of direction that I needed to take and before I realized it I had taken my old path without even thinking...it was the familiar path so I just ended up going in that direction...I could still get to where I wanted to go, but it would just take me a little longer to get there!
That's when I thought about my walk with the Lord...when I lean to my own understanding it will take me longer to get to the path that the Lord has ordained for me; but when I acknowledge Him in all My ways He directs My paths. God's Word tells us to walk in the Spirit, and when I learn to do this, then I can begin to manifest the fruit of the Spirit in my life without even trying....I will get off the familiar path of the flesh and begin walking the path of the Spirit; and hopefully, with a little time, that will be the path that becomes more familiar to me and I will be able to walk in the Spirit without even trying or thinking about it. I truly want the paths of the Lord to become more "familiar" to me so I can walk "that walk" without even trying or thinking about it!
Thought for the day: Whatever we "feed" the most will be what becomes familiar to us...flesh or Spirit...which way is more familiar to you?
I leave you with this scripture:
Galatians 5:16-17 - I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that yo do not do the things that you wish.
Till we meet again or till Jesus Comes, may we all learn to walk in the Spirit without even trying!
