Oh how I love Jesus
Oh how I love Jesus

Growing up in a Baptist Church we used to sing the song, "Oh how I love Jesus" often and I loved and still do love that old hymn.  At this Christmas season I am reminded by that song how much I truly love Jesus.  As a christian I have heard those of certain faiths proclaim that Christmas is a pagan holiday, that it stems from pagan rituals.  But my feelings on that are quite different.  I believe anything (including a holiday season) that will bring folks together in a common spirit of joy and peace deserves to be recognized.  And I can't for the life of me believe that our Lord and Saviour would have a problem with that.  But that's just this woman's opinion and I don't assume to speak for the whole world.  But I love how people get into the spirit of giving, not just for themselves, but for strangers in need.  I love Christmas, and I love the Saviour that is represented by Christmas.  May each and every person out there have a Wonderful and Joyfilled Holiday Season.  Because I love you too!

I love Christmastime! I remember drinking eggnog by the fireplace with my brother and sisters and my mom. I love that tradition. Now that I have a house with a fireplace of my own, I will begin the tradition with my own children. They will know the true meaning of Christmas and why mom does not Christmas shop...I give all year long and I continue to give day after day. They have a piece of me that no one else will ever have and that is special. I teach them about God and how to love Him and that is more Christmas to me than anything else...

I love Christmas, too. It is my favorite time of year. It seems to make everyone smile and have a bounce in their step and it just brings out the best in everyone. Of course, there are some grouches and grinches out there, too. But we just have to love them and hope that the spirit of Christmas will touch them.
