For my sons birthday me and my family decided to go to Galveston beach to celebrate. We arrived safely and started to have a good time. Eating running and playing in the sand and ocean. When all of a sudden my husband walked up to me and said..."Your gonna be mad at me". "Here's my case and the keys were with them...I lost the keys. " "Huh" I said. Again he said " I lost the keys... in the water" I immediately started to look for them running my feet through the sand, trying to remain calm. When a small voice said your gonna find your keys. I remained calm.
Within thirty minutes everyone was like what are you gonna do, what are you gonna do. Here I am beginning to become frantic, calling tow truck drivers and locksmiths who were wanting to charge 100's of dollars to assist me. I mean from every angle people were wondering how I was gonna handle it. I remember looking into the vast ocean and thinking, my keys will wash ashore in 2011 like a time capsule. I thought it was hopeless. I sat down, as my family rushed back to houston for another set of keys, to reasses the situation.
A few minutes later my nephew rushed over to me exclaiming that he had found my keys. I told him to stop playing and move around. My brother soon rushed over with my keys that I thought were lost at sea. The keyless entry still worked too. Thank you Jesus!
This taught me 2 valuable lessons. I would tend to discredit the voice of God that I hear as "something told me" and believe that I can handle things on my own. I can't... we can't handle things on our own it only leads to anger and frustration. We must start listening to the voice of God to guide us to make better decisions. It can save us a lot of trouble. Oh and leave an extra set of keys at grandmas. lol!
