Workforce Solutions of Southeast Texas hopes to attract as many as 100 employers to a Nov. 5 jobs fair to match up their openings with prospective employees.

Job seekers can mark their calendars for 8 a.m., which is when the event starts at the Beaumont Civic Center, 701 Main St.

Businesses that sign up for a $100 booth will have access to cost-saving hiring workshops that include information on tax credits, unemployment insurance information and services, on-the-job-training funds and Work-in-Texas, the statewide job listing database.

Participating businesses also will benefit from free on-site drug testing for all legitimate job offers made during the event.

"For employers that require drug testing for employment, access to free on-site drug testing is a huge plus," said Marilyn Smith, Workforce Solutions executive director.

For job seekers in South County, the Port Arthur Transit System will provide one bus to and from the event, which means space is limited. It will leave the Port Arthur Workforce Solutions Center at 7:45 a.m. on the day of the event.
