Galatians 5:22-23 gives us an overview of the fruit of the Spirit.  And at the base of every "fruit" is love...the very first fruit listed is love, but when you look into the characteristics of each fruit you will find that love is its basis as noted below:

Love (the ultimate fruit - God's Heart)

Joy (Love Rejoicing)

Peace (Love at Rest)

Patience or Longsuffering (Love forbearing)

Kindness (Love serving others)

Goodness (Love seeking the best for others)

Faithfulness (Love keeping its promises)

Gentleness (Love ministering to the hearts and needs of others)

Self-Control (Love in control)

Again, at the basis of the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE!  And we all know that Love Never Fails.....Thank God for His manifested Love!
