However as we have seen, it is almost a full year after Hurricane Ike and we are just now getting to where we can even get to the clients. The system is set in place to assist the people, but it is flawed. We can only do what we are allowed to do once we have been given the green light on a project. The time to wrap up the case is based on the progress of the client or the longevity of the project.0 pointsBoutteBarbie wrote 895 Days Ago (neutral) 0assistance should start immediately it doesn't have to be the government that does it because immediate for them is not immediate for people who don't have shelter, clothing and food. but the immediate assistance should come form the community until the government steps in and make sure that the victims are safe secure and sanitary, everything else should be on the individual and the community. The time to stop assistance is when each person has a new state of normalcy , understanding that they may not have everything that they had before but know the resources to start building there lives back up and to know to be prepared in case of another disaster.0 points
