In this life, we encounter many people with different walks of life. We are taught to be tolerant of others and to make sure we treat others with respect always. However, we aren't always regarded with respect and often times as believers, we are asked to relax our beliefs and our standards so that we will not make others feel uncomfortable. Is this right? Actually no it isn't...not if we are to walk by the order of God's Word. We don't have to be ugly to others, but we do not have to let go of the things we know are not right according to the Word of God. When someone asks me to do something that goes against my walk with Christ, it is not something I can do. I will be chastised by God for it if I just go with the flow. The state of the world oday came about by the relaxation of God's place in our day to day lives and the prevelance of sin. There is no repentance going on these days and things keep geting worse. When you look at all the killings and murders of today...they are senseless crimes. Who would do such a thing and why and how did they get that way? That is a question I often ask myself. Such hopelessness in a country where we profess so much freedom continually baffles the mind. If I relax my rules and my standards at my house with my children, I shudder to think of the possible outcome. Satan would have a field day with them. His ultimate goal is to kill them and me too and you. None of us are exempt. What is the difference we can make. It starts with the standards that God set in His word. If we could just get back to that, if we could do as it states in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and turn from our wicked ways, then will God hear from heaven our cries out to Him and forgive us of our sins and heal our land. What will you do? What can you do? How will you make a difference? Whne will you begin? I choose to begin at home. I will begin with my children. Then I will carry what I do at home with me o work and to church and anywhere else I go. Do we just sit back idle and watch this world die and go to hell or do we begin to affect change by doing what God called us to do in the first place and witness for Him. Not just lip service, but with our lifestyle...
